Special Collections
The Montgomery College Library provides access to materials and memorabilia related to the history, function, and activities of the College. To do this, the library accepts unique materials from the College community and the public that have historical value.
Digital Collections
MC Library's digital collections are available on the Digital Maryland sitenew window. The digitized collections provide online access to a portion of larger print collections available. The two sub-collections available online are:
Early Days of Montgomery Collegenew window: A collection of digitized photographs from the early years of MC.
Montgomery College Student Newspapersnew window: A collection of digitized newspapers from the 1940's through the 1990's.
Print Collections
The MC Library also maintains a collection of print materials related to the history of Montgomery College. Items include:
- Bliss Electrical School materials
- Yearbooks
- College catalogs
- Committee records
- News clippings
The MC Library utilizes an off-site storage facility to house the print collections. The MC community and members of the public may request access to non-restricted items in these collections for reference and research purposes.
