Library-Blackboard Integration
MC Library has partnered with ELITE to integrate three key library resources and services into each Blackboard course at MC. Library-integrated content can be found in Blackboard by clicking the library links in your course menu. Explore the three resources and services below for more information and instructions.
If you do not see the library-integrated content in your Blackboard menu, follow our directions to add it (PDF, ) .
If you need assistance, please see our frequently asked questions on library-Blackboard integrationnew window or contact a librarian who specializes in your academic subject.
Library course and subject research guides are online guides built by MC librarians to help your students find and use library resources for a specific class or on a specific academic subject. Clicking the Library Research Help link in your Blackboard course will take you and your students to the most relevant research guide the library has for your class.
Use these guides to help your students become independent researchers and prepare for assignments, including developing a topic, finding sources, evaluating sources, and citing sources.
Our course reserves service connects your students to course-related materials held by the library. When your students click the Library Course Reserves link, they will see any materials on reserve for the class. Faculty members can use the same link to request that course-related items (e.g., textbooks, books, journal articles, videos, book chapters, and more) be placed on reserve for your students.
Use course reserves to provide your students with simple, copyright-compliant access to course materials directly in Blackboard.
MC Library's instructional content allows you to embed tutorials, videos, and quizzes on information literacy topics directly into your Blackboard course. Clicking the For Faculty: Embed Library Instructional Content link will take you to a page containing all the learning objects available and step-by-step instructions to embed them in your Blackboard course.
Use our tutorials, videos, and quizzes to meet course learning outcomes related to information literacy and help your students build their skills and prepare for assignments.
