Montgomery College students and employees may have up to 20 items on their library account at a time. Community users may have up to five items on their library account at a time. Certain item types have additional restrictions. You can also learn about fines and fees and renewals.

Fines and Fees: More Information
Lost or Damaged Item Fees
MC students, MC employees, and community users will be charged the replacement or damaged item fee plus the overdue fines, if applicable.
Return of Lost Materials
Replacement fee will be reimbursed within two years of the item being marked as lost in the library's system. Overdue fines apply.
Renewals
Renewing an item extends the original due date and helps you avoid fines. You can request renewals in two ways:
- Renew online through your library accountnew window. Select the items you'd like to renew and click the "Request Renewal" button.
- Renew in person at the service desk of any campus library.
