Montgomery County Public Schools Visit Procedure
The Montgomery College Library offers library instruction in support of academic research projects from middle and high schools in the Montgomery County Public School district (MCPS).
Please submit your request at least one month before the desired visit date.
- Chaperones must be present at each library instruction session. See Montgomery College's Protection of Minors website for more information and contacts.
- Schools are responsible for making their own parking arrangements. Visit the College's Parking and Transportation web page for more information and contacts.
- The MC Library is not legally responsible for personal injury or property loss that may occur while students are on campus.
- Campus computers are not filtered.
Library Resources at Montgomery College
The MC Library can provide an instruction session on undergraduate-level research resources, including databases and print collections. This instruction session should not be the first, nor the primary, library instruction session for your students. Please work with your school library media specialist before requesting a session at Montgomery College.

In order to check out books and other materials, students must have community user cards. MCPS students can only access these databases if they are on an MC campus. We cannot provide them with passwords for off-campus access.

Results may include articles for scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, books, e-books, videos, and other media. MCPS students can view a list of results from on or off-campus, but can only access content from an MC computer. We cannot provide passwords for off-campus access.
