- December 22, 2025: Entire library in MT closes
- Spring 2026: Temporary library space in CB building opens, Construction begins
- Fall 2027: Construction complete
- Spring 2028: Grand opening of renovated library in MT
Rockville Campus Library Closure
The Rockville Campus library is closed for renovations. A temporary library will open in the Academic Annex (CB) building in spring 2026. Before the temporary library opens, you can make use of the library's remote resources and services:
- RaptorSearch new window: provides 24/7/365 access to almost all of the library e-resources, including articles, e-books, and streaming videos for all current students and employees.
- Online research support: via text, 24/7/365 chat, and online appointment.
In addition, please consider the following alternative study and computer spaces on the Rockville Campus. Note that these spaces will be closed during the College's winter break. Please visit their websites for the most-current hours:
- Digital Learning Center: Humanities (HU) building, suite 307.
- Open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Ackerman Learning Center: Science West (SW) building, room 109.
- Open Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Writing, Reading, and Language Learning Center: Macklin Tower (MT) 002 & 020.
- Open Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Temporary Space
During renovations, the library will relocate to the Academic Annex (CB) building. The temporary library space will open in spring 2026. More information about the temporary library space will be coming soon!

The following library resources and services will be available in the CB library during the renovations:
- Textbooks and course reserves
- Library technology, including computers for public use, laptop and tablet lending, and scanners and print stations
- Newspapers
- Group study rooms new window
