Rockville Library Renovations
Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus library will undergo a major renovation to modernize the library. - December 2025: Library in MT building closes, construction begins
- January 2026: Temporary library space in CB building opens
- Spring 2027: Library in MT building re-opens
Temporary Space
During renovations, the library will relocate to the Academic Annex (CB) building. More information about the temporary library space will be coming soon!
Services and Resources
The following library resources and services will be available in the CB library during the renovations:
- Textbooks and course reserves
- Library technology, including computers for public use, laptop and tablet lending, and scanners and print stations
- Newspapers
- Group study roomsnew window
- Assistive technology and equipment
- Research assistance
- Library instruction
Additional Support
Additional library support options during renovations include:
- Intercampus loan: library items from another campus can be requested and sent to the CB library. Items may take up to four business days to arrive. The Rockville library’s collections, except textbooks and course reserves, are unavailable during renovations.
- RaptorSearchnew window: provides 24/7/365 access to almost all of the library e-resources, including articles, e-books, and streaming videos for all current students and employees.
- Online research support: via text, 24/7/365 chat, and online appointment.
