About Tutorials and Quizzes

Montgomery College Library's online tutorials are designed to address the Information Literacy competency standards and learning outcomes as described on the College’s Information Literacy Rubric (PDF, Get Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader.-Link opens in new window.) . Each tutorial is followed by an online quiz.

Your students can to complete these tutorials and quizzes in two ways:

  1. Through our Tutorials and Quizzes webpage. If you choose this option, please instruct your students to include your email address when they submit the quiz so you receive their scores.
  2. Through your Blackboard course. With this option, you will embed the tutorial and quiz directly into your Blackboard course and quiz scores will appear in your Blackboard gradebook.

Embedded Online Instruction
The MC Library is now offering information literacy guidance for your students directly in your Blackboard course. In addition to course reserves and online guides, we are offering information literacy learning objects for embedding, such as tutorials, quizzes, and videos. We offer tutorials and quizzes created by our own librarians, listed below, and third-party tutorials and videos on a wide variety of information literacy topics.
