About Tutorials and Quizzes

Montgomery College Library's online tutorials are designed to address the Information Literacy competency standards and learning outcomes as described on the College’s Information Literacy Rubric (PDF, Get Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader.-Link opens in new window.) . Each tutorial is followed by an online quiz.

Your students can to complete these tutorials and quizzes in two ways:

  1. You can provide a link to any MC Library tutorial and embed the associated quiz file in your Blackboard courses. In addition to the tutorials and quizzes listed below, which are created by MC librarians, we also offer a robust collection of tutorials, videos, and quizzes on a variety of information literacy topics created by a third-party. So, with this option, you have a larger collection of learning objects to choose from and quiz scores will integrate seamlessly into your Blackboard gradebook. Learn more about embedding these learning objects into your Blackboard course on our Library Blackboard Integration guidenew window.
  2. You can still direct students to our Tutorials and Quizzes webpage. If you choose this option, please instruct your students to include your email address when they submit the quiz so you receive their scores in your inbox.
