Montgomery County Public Schools Instruction Procedure

Montgomery College Library offers library instruction in support of academic research projects from middle and high schools in the Montgomery County Public School district (MCPS). Please work with your school library media specialist before requesting a session at Montgomery College. Please submit your request at least one month before the desired instruction date. The teacher or school library media specialist must be present during the instruction session.

Library Resources at Montgomery College

Instruction sessions for MCPS students focus on undergraduate-level research resources, including databases and print collections. MCPS students will not have access to MC Library’s e-resources from off campus, including during a virtual instruction session. Community User Cards

A-Z List of Databases

Learn how your students can access our online databases.

Our A-Z List of Databasesnew window provides access to a complete list of our databases with descriptions of their coverage. MCPS students can only access these databases if they are on an MC campus. We cannot provide them with passwords for off-campus access.
RaptorSearch

Learn how your students can access e-resources and borrow materials.

RaptorSearchnew window allows users to search almost everything MC Library has to offer, online or on our shelves. Results may include articles for scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, books, e-books, videos, and more. MCPS students can view a list of results from on or off campus, but can only access content from an MC computer. We cannot provide passwords for off-campus access.
